GOD'S RESTORATION SEMINAR 2019

The God's restoration seminar for 2019 was a great success. Anybody who attended can easily encore this statement. Whether you want to talk of the preaching done by the guest pastor Bill Butler, and the apostle James Mabwa - the host; or if you want to talk about the praise and worship done by the Victory melodians together with the guest singer Solomon Mukubwa who graced the whole event with songs from several of his albums. Every soul tht was present was refreshed through their great ministration. Also present were Eunice K Singer and Sifa Sue Sanga ( watch their presentation during the crusade)

With all the meals and accommodation provided through the sponsorship of pastor Bill, the meeting was already orchestrated to be a success. Visitors all the way from Uganda, Nairobi, Kitale, kisumu and all over the country were present.

A special program for widows and orphans had been the focus of the meeting. They came from all over the town, including neighboring towns just to be encouraged. This was an eye opener for me - that most widows have no one caring for them. They feel the emptiness of being left alone by the deceased, yet no one ever cares to comfort them in any way. In some communities, they are mistreated and their family resources taken away by relatives from the husband's side. A similar story is shared by the orphans. Benson ouma; the worship leader of the whole VGAM in a social media post on Friday 13/09/2019; having grown an orphan posted "I have been an orphan for 18 years now - I know how it feels to be one". He said this when welcoming people to the seminar on his whatsApp status. The weight of his words cannot be over-emphasized; the clothelessness, the cold, the miss-treatments, the hatred from family and much more; all fall on orphans irregardless of their age. The seminar, and similar events carried out by the mercy mission chaired by Mrs Joyce Lumiti, are all aimed to help the society recognize the plight of these two groups of people, that are the real needy people that live among us. This is one of the things the church is commanded to do as in 1st Timothy 5:3 and several other scriptures elsewhere.

It didn't end in church. Every evening was culminated by crusade along Mumias road just opposite the Jamia mosque, few meters from Shreeji filling station. More than 100 souls received Christ. The Lord truly glorified Himself in this meetings. I cannot tell you why the crusade would begin at 3 pm and stretch all the way to 8 pm with crowds still present to the end; but, one thing is definite; that for 2019, the LORD has done exactly according to the apostolic word released when the year began, that 'the Lord renew my strength in 2019'. The Lord indeed renewed and revived his people - and all the glory we give it back to Him.
