Is it an Era or an Error
The end of the 20th centenary brought about huge technological leaps that changed the way of life of the human race in its entirety. There were advances in technologies involving food processing, industrialization, medicine and surgery, transport system and telecommunication; the mobile phone being one of the new developments that improved communication for all people.
the ERA of the mobile phone has made it easy not only to communicate but also improved customer services that depend on communication through the extensive use of mobile Apps that have created avenues to do business, make payments, find direction, monitor operations, and even enhanced distance learning for those who prefer it. the ERA however is turning out to be an ERROR in many ways. Like since the mobile phones came, what happened to family time? the time when families would sit together, talk and discuss matters of the family and how to improve. those were the avenues through which wrong behavior would be corrected and regular family prayers made.
Phones have taken over the human mind and now people seek advice from money making false gurus who claim to know everything about everybody when they themselves have failed in those same areas. people can no longer stay away from their phones, they carry them everywhere and a small period away from the phone seems like an eternity. phones are carried and used in bedrooms, bathrooms, school,work and even church. they have turned from devices that should improve or make life easy to idols and devices that now control the human race.
It is time now that we consider how we use our phones before it is too late, when the whole human race will end up being programmed by the same phones that it made
